Shipping Process and Policies
Shipping is the one aspect of our customer service that is not 100% within our control, and hence something we address with our clients as a matter of priority.
We have shipping policies that differ for the Gala Star products and the Jayne Galassi product, each with a heading below.
CORONA VIRUS IMPACT - DELAY TO DELIVERIES
Please note that due to this virus our team of artists in South Africa, as well as our shipping partners are all in lockdown.
The result, we will not be able to deliver any products until the lockdown quarantine in South Africa comes to an end and logistics routes for shipping open back up.
Please message us if you plan to purchase any of our products on the Etsy app or via firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are happy to take orders in advance so that you will be one of the prioritized customers upon re-opening.
Gala Star shipping process and policies (once we return to normal after Corona Virus)
All the Kumbula iAfrica and Decor Ostrich Eggs are produced at the Gala Star premises in Muldersdrift, South Africa and are shipped from that location to our clients around the world. Shipping from South Africa to USA, UK, Europe, Australia and the rest of the world does take time and costs money, and sometimes as with all things courier and post office there can be frustrations.
We offer FREE SHIPPING to our International retail clients on all orders over $150. This free shipping is the default shipping setting when completing an order. This free shipping is designed around the EMS service, which is a service built on top of the Post Office network, South African and receiving countries post offices working together. EMS is the only cost effective shipping option, BUT it does mean that shipments can take longer and the level of communication and service is sometimes not ideal from the post office networks.
With EMS we usually plan for shipment to take between 10 and 15 working days, but this is often longer by up to 10 days and is out of our control.
From 15 March 2020 we have introduced a new process, and will email all clients upon order to enquire if they would like a paid for SHIPPING UPDGRADE.
For the shipping upgrade we get 2 to 3 quotations from Nightwing Couriers, Fedex and DHL. With these shipping suppliers we know we get quicker and more reliable delivery, but this comes at a steep cost. Expect costs of 1 to 2 times your order value in shipping cost, but can expect delivery to be take 8 to 10 working days or less, with better communication and service from the logistics supplier.
For our clients within Africa, we suggest the shipping upgrade as postal services are not efficient between the South African post office and our neighbouring post office services.
Jayne Galassi art, shipping process and policies
All the Jayne Galassi art products are are produced by Fine Art America and generally shipped within 48 hours of order and will ship within 3 - 4 business days of your order from 15 fulfilment centres around the world in partnership with Fine Art America. You can expect delivery from order date to not exceed 15 days we work with Fine Art America (and if in Africa our local printing partners) to ensure proper communication and speedy delivery.
Our prints are securely packaged in durable cardboard tubes, and we guarantee safe and undamaged delivery of all our art prints. If your art print ever arrives damaged we will replace the art print 100% at no cost to you.
Shipping on this item is calculated on checkout based on your location and the size print that you order. The cost estimates for shipping on product pages will be finalised upon checkout by Fine Art America, but please note estimates on product pages may vary by up to 20% on checkout.
